Use Cases Implemented in C-IPS
Machinery Spare Parts Identification: One application of object detection that’s already being used in industry is the detection of all the equipment components in the image frame and then compare these against inventory. This use case is used mostly for machinery or vehicles during break-down or servicing. It first identifies which specific component needs replacement using advanced image processing models and then validates its availability.
Creation of Product Catalogue: This use case is more relevant to clothing retail where lot of merchandizing stuff comes daily. ML models can process the images of the clothes and can tag them under various heads viz. colour, design (formal, casual etc.) etc. It seems a simple problem but doing this on scale is a mammoth task. C-IPS can process video frames and can update product catalogue and inventory.
Component Quality Assessment: In a typical production line, components travel down the assembly line from one station to another, at the end of which an inspector steps in to look for problems – a manual and error-prone process. AI-driven image classification reduces human effort and automatically classifies images as pass or fail.
Image Masking: Most of the times businesses acquire scanned images of identity proofs from the customer during onboarding. As part of the regulations, these are to be archived for a certain period, where lies the risk of data theft. C-IPS identifies and masks the sensitive region on the images such as driving licenses, passport, credit cards etc.
